Hi there, I had a couple of questions about your component. I have tried it out and it is perfect for what i’m looking for, but I would like to use it for a free competition for our club members, but to do that i would need to be able to fix it so it can only have the same picture used, with the same number of pieces each time, with rotation fixed on, randomised every time it loads and whoever is logged into the site and using it, have how long they took recorded because i wanted to do fasted compleation wins. Is that possible?

    Regards

    Joe

      Hi Joe,

thanks for your comments. You can fix the number of pieces and rotation within the settings and set the gallery path to a folder with only one image.
So far I see no easy way to do the highscore competition thing however. I will give it some thought and appreciate ideas on how that could work.

      Regards,
      Tom

Ok, if you managed to do a timer that would store results on a database in the back end let me know! Thanks, you are a star!!! :)

    Hi there,
I like this jigsaw component and would like to use it without the link back to mypuzzle.org. Is this possible?
    A white paper version?
    Thanks

Hi, our efforts to build the plugin for free are related to some references to us.
I can provide you with a white paper version if you send me an email.

    Hello,

I have just tested MyPuzzle Jigsaw Joomla module : it works fine but I would like to adapt it in two or more languages.
I have not found any language file, so I suppose that the texts are hard coded somewhere.

Could you please point me in which files I could find the “Restart Puzzle” and “Gallery” buttons and the “Well Done” message ?

Of course, if I succeed I will send you the translation (French)

    Sincerely,

    Michael

      Hi Michael,

you cant translate the sources yourself because the texts are with the flash source-file.
So I would need to implement different languages there.
Please sent me the texts and I will check when I can come up with a multi-language version.

      Thanks

    Hi,

First of all very nice work. I understand that for your efforts to build the plugin for free there are related to some references to you. However I would appreciate it the become a white paper version.

What I would like to do is to create a page with several puzzles (gallery) with topic horses. How should I set this up.

      Hi Ruedi,

right now we only have that version with the reference to us as our benefit.
If you know how, you can probably eliminate the link. Although I would of course appreciate the link.

I am following all the steps to set this up, but it is not showing on the website at all. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

      Hi Melissa,
are you sure that you configured and activated the module? When giving the name for the position you should be able to call that from your page with {loadposition yourmodposname}.
If thats an option you can send me an access-account to your administration for me to have a quick look. Otherwise I’m not sure how I could support.

      Thanks,
      Tom

I’m installing on a Joomla 3 test site. Could not get Jigsaws to come up using loadposition (which I do know how to use.) So I did research on the error message (Mootools not found) and found this on the Joomla forums:
    http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?t=760727

So I changed the code in just one place in the mod_mp_jigsaw.php file and then the program came up.

However, i’m not getting any images. All I have are gray puzzle pieces. Apparently it can’t find the image folder, that’s my guess. My Joomla 3 is installed in a joomla subfolder, which is a standard way of doing it, so I’m not sure why it can’t find the images folder.

I’ve tried several things including messing around with the JURI::base but I’m kinda stuck. Maybe the problem is in the SWF file?

Hi, sorry for the late response.
Just found that my file upload not really was the last version I did.
So I updated the extension within the extension directory and also on this site here:

Hope that works for you now. It does for me on joomla 3.1
      Thanks for your feedback again.

I upgraded to the most recent version of Joomla 3.1.1., and I’m getting an error message now which may be helpful:
    —————
Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open ‘/home/gloryand/public_html/joomlaDSimages/animals-cat.jpg’ for writing: No such file or directory in /home/gloryand/public_html/joomla/modules/mod_mp_jigsaw/jigsaw-plugin.php on line 94
    —————
That path to the startup image doesn’t look right. And, that’s not the path I put in the module parameters, either. I specified modules/mod_mp_jigsaw/gallery/animals-cat.jpg

So I don’t know where it’s looking for it’s parameters but that’s not what is in the database because I looked it up in PHPMyAdmin to confirm. It could be due to the fact I had “Resize images” checked off. When I uncheck that, then I don’t get the error message but I still don’t get any images either. So I’m still wondering about that “DS” that’s in the path, up above.

I installed your mypuzzle games (Jigsaw and sliding) in Joomla 3.0, installed and configured mootools plugin and enabled in a menu item for your game so menu item uses mootools, but still I get the error ‘Error: 500 – JHtmlBehavior::mootools not found.’
    Pls advise.
